Seven gables, three valleys, and a roof pitch steep enough to need continuous fall protection for the crew. The existing three-tab shingles were original to the house and well past their wind rating.

We re-decked two sections with soft spots, ran synthetic underlayment across the full roof, and installed a Class 4 impact-rated architectural shingle — the same tier we’d use on a house in open hail country, since this one sits close to the treeline.

Twelve working days across a roof most crews would quote at three weeks.
